3 + 3 cover
Released

Perhaps the pinnacle of an outstanding soul, funk and R’n’B career, the Isley Brothers 3 + 3 was their first recorded with Stevie Wonder’s revolutionary producers/recording engineers Malcolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff who helped update the Isley’s sound with their Moog and Arp synthesisers. 3 + 3 features the Isley’s particularly chunky brand of funk in ‘Listen To The Music’, beautiful album tracks like ‘If You Were There’ that lesser bands would’ve eked an entire career out of, and searing psychedelic soul anthems like ‘That Lady’ and ‘Summer Breeze’. Rock, pop, soul, funk, it’s got it all.
