A Virgin’s Tale, Volumes 1 and 2

Released

Such was Marc Almond’s productivity during his mid-80s stint on Virgin that even though he only recorded two formal albums for the label, Stories of Johnny and Mother Fist, he recorded that much and more via various B-sides and EPs. Combining two separate CDs first released in the 1990s, A Virgin’s Tale is crammed with strong and often undeservedly obscure performances, including the remaining covers from his A Woman’s Story EP like Procol Harum’s “A Salty Dog” and Eartha Kitt’s “The Heel,” and originals like “I’m Sick Of You Tasting Of Somebody Else.”
