Mariah Parker has an approach a bit like Boots and The Pharcyde thrown into a productive disarray and jolted into a new framing. Parker has an unapologetic ferocity and they know it. “Linguist by day, lunatic lady rapper by night,” they say and I do not doubt it. I am glad the word “garlicky” is in here, right before a song with the line “dunking on fascists with glitter.” Also, Parker’s production is advanced and varied.
