Demo Hollywood 1977

The Screamers’ music inhabited a Southern California analogue to the gritty Manhattan that populated Suicide’s songs. They never released a full album, and these five songs were all they recorded. But they cast a long shadow over synth punk, and the blaring electronics of expertly written songs like “Anything” and “Master Delores” evoke the grime and glamor of the band’s Hollywood streets.
