Forgotten Fury Mix

A hat-tip to my friend Sarvesh for showing me this gem, uploaded in November of 2021: a mix of songs about martial arts in global Black music. The billing is a big confusing: Nicholas Daley is a London designer whose Mixcloud page, featuring commissioned mixes from up-and-coming DJs. Zakia Sewell is responsible for this one—half an hour on the dot, lots of Trojan and related (I own at least two comps of kung-fu reggae songs from that label), Haitian drums, cubop confrere Sabu Martinez, what sounds like Japanese pop but what do I know—and more!
