Atlanta noise aficionados Deerhunter turned down the fuzz pedals (slightly) on their fourth release Halcyon Digest, a melancholic albeit lovely rumination on the memories we choose to keep and those we self-edit so they’re easier to swallow. That bittersweetness is central to the beguiling album single “Desire Lines,” in which the band ponders whether excitement truly wanes as we grow older.
