Kid A

Released

Finding themselves once again having to escape the weight of expectation that a previous release had brought them thanks to a now massive fanbase, not to mention internal band angst about what sonic course to pursue next, one could hardly be blamed if Radiohead simply went for OK Computer II. Instead, drawing on older and contemporary electronic artists for inspiration, on Kid A they created strong new fusions for a wide audience, ranging from the angry slow burn of “The National Anthem” to the fraught live-wire tension of “Idioteque.”
