Milk & Kisses

Released

The final Cocteau Twins album was recorded in the midst of personal and professional divisions for the core members, with the increasingly dysfunctional relationship of Robin Guthrie and Elizabeth Fraser almost overshadowing the music itself. Given that the formal band breakup only happened a couple of years later, Milk and Kisses doesn’t feel so much like a summation or final note as it simply does a quiet conclusion, following in the wake of the Twinlights and Otherness EPs, of a remarkable band’s remarkable run, with “Rilkean Heart” a clear standout.
