Mother Earth’s Plantasia

Released

Weird that nobody thought of composing music for plants before — despite their lack of ears, our chlorophyll-filled friends enjoy a good bop. Moog pioneer Mort Garson filled that important niche in 1976 with this collection of lovely electronic tunes meant to encourage healthy growth in both vegetation and the animals that enjoy their company. From the city plant swagger of “Baby’s Tears Blues” to the peaceful photosynthesis aid of “Rhapsody in Green,” there’s something for every variety of listener to enjoy. It’s a perennial favorite.
