No Remorse

Released

Bands rarely get involved when their labels put together compilations, but when Motörhead mastermind Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister got wind that Bronze Records was getting ready to shove them out the door with a best-of, he took over the project, choosing the track listing himself, writing the liner notes, and adding four brand-new side-ending tracks featuring an equally brand-new lineup. One of those, “Killed By Death,” became one of the band’s best-known songs, and No Remorse, slamming the listener with 24 relentless tracks, including an absolutely amp-frying, eardrum-destroying version of their eponymous anthem, has been the ideal introduction to Motörhead since its release in 1984. If you call yourself a fan of punk, of metal, of aggressive music of any stripe, No Remorse is mandatory listening.
