Formerly masked darksynth master Baalberith clawed his way out of Hell with some solid self-released darksynth bangers, but it was Blood Music debut Behemoth that truly tagged him with the mark of the beast — and on follow-up Non Paradisi he snatched Lucifer’s flaming crown. Whereas some of his contemporaries like Perturbator or Carpenter Brut went more cyberpunk or slasher with their sound, Baalberith went straight for the summoning circle. In the process he pulled in ghastly guests like Hayley Stewart and Kriistal Ann to bring some humanity to his demonic compositions.
