Sci-Fi Lullabies

Released

Much like one of their openly-acknowledged role models, the Smiths, Suede’s key work was hardly limited to their albums and A-sides, with the explosion of CD singles in general — especially the two-part single model — leading to a huge amount of B-sides on their part. Sci-Fi Lullabies doesn’t even get close to including every such rarity over their first few years but in choosing the best it results in a truly strong double-album in its own right, from Bernard Butler-era standouts like “My Insatiable One” to later fine efforts such as “This Time.”
