Sleep No More

Released

Waiting For A Miracle was a stellar debut, but on Sleep No More the Comsat Angels pulled off an even more remarkable feat, a second album that put their debut in the shade, with more spent on recording allowing the group and returning co-producer Peter Wilson to go deep with a rich, tactile sound. The quality of the songwriting itself had if anything even improved in turn, with standouts including the brooding study of personal connection “Our Secret” and the harrowing “Dark Parade,” drawing on the story of a failed mission to rescue hostages in Iran.
