The Perfect Prescription

While Spacemen 3 had already established their clear obsessions with Kraftwerk, Suicide, the Stooges and gospel music in equal measure, their second full length album is what brought everything together with a full-length listen worth every minute. The album title gives away the intent, as it’s something of a crypto-concept effort detailing a drug experience, ranging from the exultance of “Take Me To the Other Side” to the rambling jams and contemplations of “Come Down Easy” and “Call the Doctor.”
