After the Heat cover

Why this isn’t credited to Cluster, I don’t know. This gets my vote for the greatest undersung kraut-adjacent album. Eno brings in more of his rhythm thing, and it is welcome. The keyboards are beginning to have that arctic sting that Eno used in the late Seventies and early Eighties. The Germans bring their thickest sounds and most fully formed melodies since Cluster II, and it all pairs well with Eno’s drunken synth patches. Parts of this could be lifted out and dripped onto Before and After Science, which was a parallel production. A mystical synth and guitar prayer circle.
