Deliverance and Spiritual Warfare

Following three excellent EPs, the debut album from Italian percussionist Valentina Magaletti and producer Al Wootton (aka FKA Deadboy)’s project Holy Tongue dragged listeners down dark catacombs of zombie dancehall, chilling post punk and clattering voodoo rhythms. Public Image Ltd. may have first written a song called “Death Disco,” but opening their heavy dub trip to Hades with a recording of an Andalusian funeral march, Holy Tongue really ran with the idea to hell and back.
