Love & Hate

The final release from Section 25’s first phase of existence, Love and Hate was also the group’s most unduly obscure, thanks to the impact of a lawsuit ginned up over the initial single “Bad News Week.” If not quite as gripping as their mesmerizing From the Hip, Love and Hate showed the group – at this point simply the duo of Larry Cassidy and Jenny Ross – fully dedicated to the compelling electronic-driven rigor of that album’s approach, with beautiful songs like the Ross-led “Sweet Forgiveness” and the instrumental “Shit Creek No Paddle” as the result.
