Ser Nosotros Mismos

Considering it includes former members of Monterrey, Mexico’s Ratas del Vaticano, the piss-and-vinegar that fuels this short collection of songs is to be expected but there’s a further exploration of melodies–albeit screamed mostly—that makes it very interesting, like a combination of ‘77 style punk with the righteous fury of early American hardcore. “Ser nosotrxs mismxs” is the perfect example. Highlights include “Horrible Realidad” with its Negative Approach-like combination of anger and relentlessness, while “Viejas glorias” features some surprisingly catchy riffs.
