Seven and the Ragged Tiger

Released

By the time of Duran Duran’s third album, the sheer whirlwind of fame had caught up to them to a degree, with familiar stories of creative differences and tension starting to play out in the wake of Rio’s massive success. If Seven And The Ragged Tiger can’t match its immediate predecessor, it was still a success in the moment and some of the band’s best singles come from it. “The Reflex” found more success in a Nile Rodgers remix, but the weirdly compelling “Union Of The Snake” and the cascading flow of “New Moon On Monday” are also strong.
