Released

Following the dissolution of The Sun and the Moon, Mark Burgess began his solo career fully with Zima Junction, recorded with a general collective of friends credited as the Sons of God (one of whom, Brian Glancy, wrote two songs and sings lead on one, “Beat The Boat”). It was Burgess’s most stripped down release to that point, with brisk folky strumming to the fore on songs like “World On Fire” and “When Harmony Comes,” but his sense of the sweeping and epic remained key, as the remarkable rising sweep of “Happy New Life” fully showed.
