Hyæna cover
Released

Robert Smith’s time in Siouxsie and the Banshees was limited to the Nocturne live album, their hit cover of the Beatles’ “Dear Prudence” and then the one studio album in Hyæna, but even if it was a somewhat chaotic moment thanks to his continuing Cure work, he made it count. Hyæna is still ultimately a Banshees album first and foremost, with the sweeping orchestrations of “Dazzle” and the entrancing piano-led “Swimming Horses” providing the singles. A great deep cut: the full-on Morricone vibes of “Bring Me the Head of the Preacher Man.”
